This is a quality AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) sealed battery from the MCS Standard Series. Maintenance free (just keep it charged). No fluid. Vibration and heat resistant and with very low self-discharge. Will deliver more power than virtually all conventional lead acid and gel batteries of the same dimensions. Pre-installation note: Never start the engine until your new battery is fully charged to prevent irreversible damage which will ultimately shorten the battery’s life. It is absolutely essential to fully charge a new AGM battery before installation. After production, AGM batteries are factory activated and will slowly discharge during storage. Recharge at least every 3 months. Recharging may be necessary sooner in warmer or colder temperatures. Vehicle electronics, such as clock, alarm, etc., will further discharge an installed battery. AGM batteries do not tolerate deep discharge well. Keep them charged to a minimum of 12.4V for best performance throughout the battery’s life. Connect the battery to a suitable automatic “maintenance charger” when not in use for a period of time to maintain the optimum charge level.
